Centre Nationale Des Archives (Algeria)
The Centre national des Archives () is the national archive of Algeria. History The archives were part of the Ministry of Information and Culture from 1962 to 1971. The archives were formerly supervised by the Directorate of National Records (created by Decree No. 71/36, issued on 3 June 1971) and the Advisory Council for the National Archives (created by Decree No. 74/75). On 20 March 1977, Decree No. 77 was issued, which regulated and clarified the role and functions of the Consultative Council for National Archives, the Central Repository of National Documents, and the Directorate of the National Archives. Ordinance No. 71/56 of August 5, 1971 related to the management of the National Archives, which was attached to the Ministry of Culture. That order was canceled by Decree No. 83/89 of January 15, 1983. The National Archives of Benin () are located in capital city Porto-Novo, Benin. The archives were established on March 3, 1914, on the order of Governor William Ponty. Services The Archives provide the following primary services: * Bookbinding studio with equipment for document restoration * Reprography, made available to researchers through its communication service, including 2 photocopy machines *Information services for entry of research instruments and for management of personal recollections, theses, and newspaper card indexes. National Archives Of Cameroon
The National Archives of Cameroon () is the national archives of Cameroon, established in 1966. Its main location is in Yaoundé and has a library which holds 64,000 volumes. There is an annex in Buea with early material. Maintenance of the National Archives falls within the responsibilities of the Ministry of Arts and Culture. The archive closed in 2016 for what promises to be a long running reorganization and digitization of its files. Researchers can still request access by writing to the director with a list of specific documents they wish to access. It is also possible to order digital photos of documents for a fee. The Archives nationales (; abbreviated AN; English: National Archives) are the national archives of France. They preserve the archives of the French state, apart from the archives of the Ministry of Armed Forces and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as these two ministries have their own archive services, the Defence Historical Service (SHD) and respectively. The National Archives of France also keep the archives of local secular and religious institutions from the Paris Region seized at the time of the French Revolution (such as local royal courts of Paris, suburban abbeys and monasteries, etc), as well as the archives produced by the notaries of Paris during five centuries, and many private archives donated or placed in the custody of the National Archives by prominent aristocratic families, industrialists, and historical figures.
